A Dragon Egg as seen in No Heroes Allowed: No Puzzles Either!.

Dragon Eggs (JP: ドラゴンの卵) are the developmental form of a Dragon. They were first introduced in What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!? and have been a staple in the franchise ever since, serving a variety of roles. In No Heroes Allowed: No Puzzles Either!, they are one of three Underhand Items.

Overview

What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!? and related

In the dungeoneering games, Dragon Eggs appear when a Dragon perishes, allowing it to "regenerate". Other than into itself, it can also be into a Dvagon or Black Dragon if its mana is low or high, respectively. However, they can be preyed on by Omnom family members. On the bright side, the eggs are also sturdy, which in What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!? and What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!? 2, making a Dragon Egg actually being eaten by an Omnom a rare occurrence. This also meant that a Dragon could even hatch before a hero could break the egg and instantly devour them. However, in No Heroes Allowed!, it was changed so that a hero simply steals it instead.

In No Heroes Allowed: No Puzzles Either!

In No Heroes Allowed: No Puzzles Either!, Dragon Eggs serve as an Underhand Item, having the same effect as if a Dragon were summoned. All soil and blocking blocks are removed after a short animation plays, enabling lengthy, strong combos. They are also covered in Lesson 6 of the Tutorial as part of the Underhand Item explanation. They can be obtained with in-game purchases for 5,000 Potency or through Treasure Chests in the Mine.

Dragon Eggs as they were in previous games are not featured in any capacity.

In No Heroes Allowed! VR

Dragon Eggs were once again reworked in No Heroes Allowed! VR, costing 80 Charisma to spawn. A high investment, the eggs begin on their lonesome, taking time to hatch. Instead of hatching into a Dragon instantly like in the previous games, they hatch into Baby Dragons, while the egg leaves a Dragon Nest behind. The Baby Dragon must be cared for if it is to become an adult Dragon.

Dragon eggs are nowhere near as fragile as other kinds of egg, and are sturdy enough to be used as medicine balls in the gyms of demon elementary school. Kids just love the frisson of danger when the eggs look likely to hatch.
