Hydras (JP: ヒドラ) are the Level 3 Breed of the special Long Dragon family and its final evolution, introduced in What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!? 2.

In What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!? 2 and related

Unlike the rest of the family, the Hydra has three heads that can extend in all cardinal directions. They do not produce Guano when fed nutrients, and can only be obtained when a Hell Dragon regenerates while having at least 75 mana. With the prior stages considered, makes it among the hardest minions to obtain in the franchise.

Unlike the rest of the Dragon family - and most monsters in the game for that matter - the Hydra has three heads that attack independently and gradually regenerate if defeated, which gives it many unique qualities. For example, it is very difficult for Hydras to be absorbed by Outboxes, as the heads will not get pulled in. Similarly, Holy water will not affect the heads, making them difficult to purify with skills like Prophecy. Each regenerated head of the Hydra has the same HP as the one with the most at the time; thus, so long as each head is pressured, a hero can eventually overwhelm a Hydra, but only if all heads are defeated will a Hydra be truly slain. Because of their extreme offensive capabilities and massive bulk, it is viable to use a Hydra to protect Badman at the end of a corridor, as all three heads can serve as an effective wall.

Because their placement in-game is considered by the middle head rather than its body, when a Hydra perishes, the middle head's position will be where the Hydra Egg is created for regeneration. Thus, a Hydra can be "moved" through careful culling.

In No Heroes Allowed: No Puzzles Either! and related

In No Heroes Allowed: No Puzzles Either!, the Hydra, as a member of the Dragon family, is a Level 5 purple block; when used, it will destroy all soil and blocking blocks. While Shin Dragons have the higher base Attack, out of all Dragon family members, the Hydra has the highest possible Attack at 87, making it the best option for optimised playthroughs. Because no Dragon family member has a special ability, it is strictly optimal to use Hydras in playthroughs.

  • Food: Everything but Badman
  • Predators: N/A
  • Mutates to: Classified

This Dragon is made up of all types of Dragons in the Netherworld. Its Inferna Comedia is even more powerful than the Hell Dragon's Divino Inferno. It has three heads, so it's triple scary, but heroes eventually discovered that although the Hydra's dangerous from the front, other areas are completely safe.

  • Food: Everything except Overlords and the Runeborn
  • Predators: None
  • Regeneration: Yes

A truly awesome dragon with not one, not two, but three heads. This triples the terror, which is great, but it also triples the weight, which is why they need ten-thousand-ton legs to keep them anchored.
