This is about the game mechanic in No Heroes Allowed! VR. For the mechanic in the first three games, see Lizardman Nest.

Nests are monster dens introduced in No Heroes Allowed! VR. They can spawn monsters on territory claimed by Badman's army during a Conquest.

Overview

Nests must be placed on Netherworld territory!

Nests can be placed on the game board by spending Charisma. Once done, they will immediately start spawning monsters of their given affiliation. Nests cannot be moved once placed. Nests do not spawn monsters forever on their own; to continue doing so, monsters have to reproduce in them, thus requiring use of the Food Chain. This forms the basis of spawning monsters in No Heroes Allowed! VR, replacing the mining system of previous titles. Nests can be attacked by heroes; should they run out of HP, they will be destroyed.

Nests are necessary for claiming overworld territory for Badman, signified by the purple ground around the nest. This is also essential for claiming Fiend Dew to grow into Fiend Trees, which Mosses and Spirits feed on to form the Food Chain. This also allows for the G.O.D to claim Treasure Chests and other loot, as well as suck up and place monsters around the game board. Claimed territory scales directly with the level of the monsters used; Level 1 nests won't claim much, while Level 5 nests can claim massive amounts.

The Dragon family takes a different approach to nests, instead having the G.O.D buy the Dragon Egg first. This egg will hatch after a limited time, only then forming the nest, where the Dragon will return to roost for periods of time, and can be called back.
