Lady family
The Lady family (JP: レディ類) consists of female runeborn monsters that live underground. They are notable for their passive ability to manipulate a hero's motivation. They were replaced by the Gargoyle family in No Heroes Allowed! VR.
Ladies are spawned in the third or fourth layers of the dungeon, such as the Ash Lady. Nutrient-based ladies will suppress a hero's motivation, while mana-based ladies will reduce a hero's maximum motivation. Like all runeborn monsters, Ladies do not get along with other members of their family and will fight to the death. If purified with holy water, a Lady will become a Harmunculus. Ladies consume Liliths and Dragon Orbs.
Ladies will attack with spears from far away in a similar manner to Liliths, though these spears deal physical damage, giving them great matchups against Magician-type heroes. However, they will hide in the ground if a hero gets within 2 blocks of it. They have decent HP, Attack, and Magic Resistance, but meagre Defence. Due to their tendency to hide, there will be many occasions where a Lady will simply not attack a hero at all, especially if it is summoned within twisting corridors rather than long ones. Because of their long attack range, they are also very vulnerable to fighting with other ladies, in which it is near-impossible to stop them.
In Yu-Nama: The Puzzle, the Crystal Lady is erroneously used as a red tile, over the Ash Lady, being featured on stages 3, 4, 7, and 8.
In No Heroes Allowed: No Puzzles Either!, Ladies are kept as level 3 red monsters and are the only members of the runeborn to be such. When combined, they produce Level 4 azure tiles, such as those featuring the other runeborn. The Crystal Lady, the family's final form, caps at 77 Attack and has no special abilities, making it superior to monsters such as Empress Aquaticus, Lard Lizard, and Hardcore Hurtle, but inferior to the Charming Chest. Thus, Ladies are strictly suboptimal in playthroughs if the Charming Chest is unlocked.
