Yu-Nama: The Puzzle
Yu-Nama: The Puzzle, also known as Yūsha no Kuse ni Konamaiki da. (勇者のくせにこなまいきだ。), is a puzzle game released for PlayStation Mobile and PlayStation Vita on 22nd May 2013. It was given a direct sequel in No Heroes Allowed: No Puzzles Either!, wherein its PS Vita release was seemingly taken down; because PlayStation Mobile was also taken down in 2015, the game is inaccessible, but can still be played.
Gameplay
Yu-Nama: The Puzzle is a stark deviation from the main series, being a puzzle game instead of the regular dungeon-keeping "god game" setup. It takes on the Hero Rush format from No Heroes Allowed!, with many heroes invading the dungeon. Instead of digging a dungeon for them to perish in, the game features a puzzle grid where blocks that can be broken to bring new ones down. Blocks can be slid into place as the contents fall for more advanced combinations. Once monsters are linked, they are spawned to take on the invading hero and leave a single block of the next level up, creating a progression effect. Strings of connected blocks—combos&madash;will spawn more monsters to attack the hero, allowing for players to accumulate much higher damage. Heroes must be defeated before they find Badman, or it's game over. There are a total of 10 stages, plus an Extra Mode containing harder versions of each stage, and a Boss Attack mode where the final boss of each stage can be fought individually for a high score. Additionally, it introduced the Pirate occupation.
Reception
PSNStores praised the game for the change in gameplay, deeming it to be "just the revitalisation the series needed". However, Boss Attacks and the hard mode were criticised for not expanding on the gameplay too much, and arguably not synergising with the new mechanics, considering how quickly heroes can be defeated anyway[1].

- Despite largely featuring Level 1 breeds of monsters with no way to upgrade, the Crystal Lady is used over the Ash Lady. The reason for this is unknown.
