Hardcore Hurtle
Hardcore Hurtles (JP: ザ・カメマン) are a rare variant of the Hurtle family, a group of aquatic monsters introduced in No Heroes Allowed!.
In No Heroes Allowed!
Hardcore Hurtles can be found in fossils soaked in water, but can also be born naturally if a Hurtle family member has exactly 300 vitality, like a Lizard Geisha. They will throw hammers from afar to attack, but retreat into their shells if heroes get close. They feed on Aquachnid family members. If it dies of starvation, it will leave a Hardcore Shell behind, which Lilith family members will use as a physical attack to throw at heroes if dungeon IQ is at Mid-High or more.
Strength-wise, Hardcore Hurtles are between the Heavyweight Hurtle and Souper Hurtle. However, there are two major differences: Unlike other Hurtles, their increased defences when hiding in their shells are only by a couple of points. To make up for this, their shells have the highest ATK stat when used with Shell Shock compared to any Hurtle, at 130. Therefore, while ill-suited for the walling role, they are excellent when paired with Liliths and Mid-High dungeon IQ.
In No Heroes Allowed: No Puzzles Either!, Hardcore Hurtles were changed to be the final stage of the Hurtle family, rather than being middle-of-the-road. They can be obtained via the Mine and occupy the red monster category, but with no special abilities, they are outclassed by the Charming Chest.

They go around with disco balls and massive sound systems on their backs blasting out their signature tune "Hardcore Hurtles Flippin' Rule" to attract the Ladies, with whom they think they're a bit of a hit. Unfortunately, they're a little excitable, and are liable to start throwing their hammers all over the place if they have one too many sugary drinks, which makes them a bit annoying to hang out with.

Like all conventional water monsters, the Hardcore Hurtle can be evolved into by its Level 4 breed of the family. In this case, the Hip-Hop Hurtle.
