Rook
Rook (JP: ハジメ) is a hero from What Did I Do To Deserve This, My Lord!? 2. He is a Swordsman with green armor. He is the first hero fought in the campaign, on Stage 1 of Van Gehrig. After his defeat, he trains to become an Alchemist and teams up with Dwight and Byson to fight Badman during his campaign in Industria. As an Alchemist, he can Summon a Clean Wookiemon. He is one of many heroes revived after Overlord Castle is conquered, where he returns to his Swordsman occupation. He has two older brothers, Look and Book.

Long gone are the days when he would just charge into a dungeon with his pre-owned Bronze Sword, which by the way is now a Gold Sword.

Etymology
His Japanese name, Hajime, can be translated as beginning and start, fitting with him being the first hero fought in the Story.
Rook's Almanac entry may be a reference to Dragon Quest III, where the protagonist started his quest in the morning of his 16th birthday and started with a Copper Sword. The Copper Sword was mistranslated as Bronze Sword in Rook's profile, possibly due to the similarities between copper and bronze.

- Because 1 defeet equals 6 feet according to No Heroes Allowed!, it's possible to calculate Rook's real-world height: 4 foot and 9.2 inches.
- When revived, he loses six inches in height, making him 4 foot 8.6 inches. This, coupled with his favourite food changing and strength decreasing, implies that the revived heroes aren't quite one to one with their original selves.
- Rook's Japanese name is referenced with the planet Hajime, including within its Almanac entry.
- Oddly, the English translation of Rook's appearance in Area 5 of No Heroes Allowed: No Puzzles Either! appears to be unfinished, lacking quotes for status or much of anything; in the Chinese translation, these are fully fleshed out.
