What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!? and related

Idle Wookiemon are spawned from Idle Runes. They feed on Spirits, Liliths, Lizardmen, and items such as Corpses and Dragon Orbs. When well-fed, they will fall asleep until they're hungry again. They are also aggressive towards other members of the Demon family and will fight to the death. Idle Wookiemon will boost the Defence of all monsters in the dungeon by 12%. If purified with holy water, an Idle Wookiemon will become a Harmunculus.

  • Taxonomy: Demon

Some mistakenly call these guys idols, which makes them happy. Their fortification ability is much stronger, which makes them useful. Their major downside is that they sleep when they're full, but their ability still works while they're napping. Limit their food supply to keep them from sleeping on the job, but they will start to eat lizards and liliths if they get too hungry.

  • Food: All Lizardmen, Spirits, Liliths
  • Predators: All Other Demon Types
  • Ability: Fortifies All Monsters' DEF

He hasn't been happy since people stopped erroneously calling him Idol Wookiemon. Nowadays, it seems we're lucky if he finds the motivation to pull himself off of the couch and go out his front door. To appease his low self esteem, he was given the moniker Idol to the Idle.

No Heroes Allowed!

IdleWookiemonNHA.jpg

Highly-developed Wookiemons spawned from runes that have soaked up enough nutrients to go grey. The effects of having rune-based monsters around are multiplied the more of them that there are, so summoning several is a sound plan. Word on the street is that an Idle Wookiemon is worth four regular Wookiemons effect-wise, but their other abilities have taken a turn for the worse recently, so hiding them away in the fourth dungeon stratum is recommended.

Idle is a pun on idol, a common referral for "false prophets" in Abrahamic religions, particularly Christianity. In this case, idle is used to refer to the Idle Wookiemon's tendency to fall asleep.

Trivia

  • The Almanac's description of Idle Wookiemon's ability in No Heroes Allowed! is misleading. It's not four times as effective, but three times: Wookiemon boosts Defence by 3%, while Idle Wookiemon boosts by 12%.
