The Mara Rune is a conduit to summon a Mara, introduced in What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!?, where it was originally pink before being redesigned in What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!? 2.
Mara Runes are created when any rune has 0 nutrients and mana. This is best set up by having a Level 3 Mana Block be used to make the rune, and have heroes repeatedly step on it until it's low enough. While complicated to set up, the sheer power of a Mara makes it worth it.
