Save Flag
Save Flags are items left by heroes during their attempts to raid Badman's dungeon, introduced in What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!? 2, using the SAVE skill. They are not present in Yu-Nama: The Puzzle and related games, but are a staple of the mainline games.
Effect
Almost any hero is able to save, placing the flag every so often, which will be shown on the LIVE Camera like most item placements. If a hero perishes while their Save Flag is active, they will respawn with full HP and MP, meaning they must be worn down again by the horde. If the hero has access to healing magic, this usually means they will outlast the dungeon, making it a game-losing scenario.
However, Save Flags can be removed by striking them with the God of Destruction's pickaxe, Dungeonquake, or even water, wherein the flag will display a "DELETE" message before disappearing. Generally, an attentive player should never allow a hero to load their save file, making their first defeat their last.

Overwrite Save |
Save Flags are often used by heroes with a cautious disposition. If a hero who has left a save flag dies, they will be reborn from that point. To the heroes, these are a source of hope, so we obviously despise them. But all is not lost - guess what happens when you give them a tap with your pickaxe? The save data is corrupted!
Hero: *cries*
God of Destruction: LOL
