A Torch is an item introduced in What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!?. They are placed by most heroes with the eponymous skill for 0 MP. Martial Artists, Monster Hunters, and Shamans do not place torches.
Effect
Torches heal heroes for 1% of their max HP when their space is stepped on. The illumination is mostly aesthetic, but also signifies if a hero can heal when stepping on it; in No Heroes Allowed!, up to 25 torches can be lit at one time. Torches placed cannot be removed, only disappearing when a hero dies.
In No Heroes Allowed!, water can destroy torches, making it a use-case for The Waterstarter.
