Magic Mandrakes (JP: マジカルマンドラゴラ) are plant monsters of the Mandrake family, introduced in No Heroes Allowed!.

In No Heroes Allowed!

Magic Mandrakes are initially spawned from corpses that have been left alone for a while. They were first introduced in No Heroes Allowed!. They will begin in a vulnerable sapling phase before growing into this phase when 33 mana is reached. Adult Magic Mandrakes feed on mana in a similar manner to a Slimeblossom. Magic Mandrakes can walk on water freely and drop fruits called Magic Mandragora, which will grow into new Magic Mandrakes or serve as a generic food source for almost all monsters. They attack heroes with their roots from noticeable distances away, including through dungeon walls, and block magic attacks like Giant Breeds. They are also, statistically, significantly stronger than standard Mandrakes.

Because of the mana requirement, growing Magic Mandrakes is rare, and sometimes inconvenient if aiming to make a mana-rich dungeon. Oftentimes, Magic Mandrakes will spawn from the corpses of late-game Magicians, which often drop significant amounts of mana when killed. However, leaving a red corpse that would normally spawn a Skeleslave is also a viable option, allowing a Magic Mandrake to spawn near-instantly. With this at play, spawning a Magic Mandrake can be situationally faster than a Mandrake.
