Puritree
Puritrees (JP: ピュアツリー) are the Pure Breed of the Mandrake family, introduced in No Heroes Allowed!.
In No Heroes Allowed!
Puritrees are spawned from family members being struck with holy water. They were first introduced in No Heroes Allowed!. Due to requiring the presence of a Shaman and holy water happening to land on a Mandrake, which doesn't often survive to the late-game where Shamans are available, Puritrees are considered to be among the rarest monsters in the series.
Like all Pure Breeds, Puritrees have forgotten how to eat and are thus guaranteed to perish once their HP reaches 0. While their long-ranged combat prowess is still present, the damage is pitiful, meaning Puritrees are easily steamrolled by heroes. Because they can't reproduce, Puritrees also lose the ability to drop fruit; thus, they cannot feed monsters either. Ergo, Puritrees are at best cull fodder or food for a Mimic.
