Introduction

Evolving Dragons is a simple but cumbersome task. They require enormous amounts of mana consumption alongside their already specific environments to ensure they can fight efficiently. If done efficiently with minimal effort, Dragons require 7 normal Liliths to break into the next stage, which means directing that many into its quarters and ensuring it actually eats them. Liliths are the best option for their easy renewability, not requiring the valuable Spirits thanks to also eating Omnoms. If aiming to make a Shin Dragon, ensure that they let out Guano regularly to get rid of the nutrients; this also provides a defense mechanism against incoming heroes.

Making a Long Dragon is complicated, as it becomes more tedious to get one as the game progresses and Badman's minions get stronger. Because they have such mediocre offensive stats, hunting is difficult, and thus a few swings of the pickaxe in a half-culling effort is required to ensure it can consume the appropriate amount of Liliths. Its speed can sometimes be of worry as well, as their bite attacks can miss or the Lilith hangs just inside of the Dvagon's sprite, causing it to not trigger entirely. The feeding also needs to be done within the span of around 2 minutes, as if the Dvagon regenerates, it will lose half of its mana in the process, resulting in heavy minion loss for no gain.

Long Dragon regeneration can be abused to "move" the dragon around the dungeon, so long as their HP permits a pickaxe swing to trigger the regeneration quickly. This can allow for much greater flexibility compared to regular dragons, which cannot leave the horizontal plane they started in.

Despite its unwieldy and resource-intensive nature, evolving dragons is extremely rewarding if the dungeon is designed with them in mind, as their gigantic bulk and unrivalled offensive prowess makes them a perfect "final boss" when protecting Badman. A Hydra or Shin Dragon can take out even late-game heroes on their lonesome, which in and of itself is very desirable.
