The Homunchulus Rune is a rune spawned by The Snacker Whacker pickaxe for 15 Dig Power, introduced in No Heroes Allowed!. It will spawn a single Homunchulus, intended to be eaten by members of Badman's army. Unlike other runes, it cannot absorb Spirits, but it can drain a hero's mana.
The Homunchulus Rune's nutrient and mana count is determined by the units in the air at the time, which then determine the amount of Homunchuli that will be spawned. It can have up to 90 units of nutrients and mana, which equals 30 Homunchuli, and has a minimum of 3.
